Foliage Flower Inspiration

Hi all,

So a couple of months back we brought you Luxe floral inspiration  as part of our regular 'Ask the Experts' feature on the lovely Boho Weddings blog. Well today we are talking all about foliage.  T spoke about the foliage flower trend as a guest on Kelly's blog, but here she is on our own blog to tell you all about it.  I'll now pass you over to T:

Hello all.  Can I start by saying that we are huge fans of the green stuff,  Not only is it incredibly versatile but it's a wonderful way of 'bringing the outside in' - something which works really well with the ethos here at Campbell's HQ of creating beautiful designs which let the materials we are working with really shine.  We adore all forms, colours and textures it comes in and have found our fashion forward brides are embracing foliage in favour of last year's much used, white gypsophila.

Hanging flowers are just one of our fave ways to create impact on your venue.  Not only are they bang on trend but their versatility means you can choose something really simple as a few baubles filled with little sprigs of foliage or the cutest succulents - perfect for the budget concious bride.

For those outdoor areas, think about using a vintage or antique chair adorned with a cushion of moss and select foliage outside your venue.  Hang a cute 'To the wedding' sign from it and you've got your directional signage covered and not a lost guest in sight!

As ever, the shape of your bridal bouquet is very much dependent upon the silhouette of your gown and we chose the gorgeous 'dress' by Suzanne Neville from The White Room for it's beautiful design and simple silhouette.  We've teamed this gown with a very soft, flowing, cascading bouquet, full of textures, subtle contrasting colours and the sweetest smelling, seasonal white broom.

I hope this blog has helped show the wealth of beautiful foliage, the gorgeous textures and the just amazing range of colours available and provide some inspiration as to how to use them effectively. Massive thanks to Ellie Grace Photography, Julia Jeckell Hair and Make up, Christina from DK Models and The White Room for the gorgeous dress.
