Ella and Christopher - A Wonderful Winter Wedding at Whitley Hall

Hello all

It's so good to be back after a really well earned rest. The whole team are raring to go and while Mel and I work away booking consultations and answer our flooded in box, Amy's been busy writing this month's newsletter and lots of fab blog posts featuring our lovely couples.  We just love 'real' weddings, they offer so much sound advice and pretty inspiration too.  So without further ado, I'll hand you over to Amy. So looking forward to meeting lots of you in the next couple of weeks. Tx

Thanks T, well we love a good winter wedding here Campbell's and Ella and Christopher's was no exception.  They really wanted to embrace winter and this reflected in the floral designs. They chose Whitely Hall for the venue which made the perfect back drop and looked fab on all the photographs.  It was a very intimate affair with very close family and friends only.

The brides bouquet was a real joy to make and as always contained seasonal blooms including one of my absolute favourites, snow drops.  Ella chose a silver/grey theme with accents of powdery grey-lilacs which really gave a really gorgeous, wintery feel.  The bouquet included Hellebores, Lavender, Eucalyptus, Dusty Miller, Green Bell, Anemone, white Astrantia, white Larkspur, Waxflower and as mentioned before Snowdrops.  The lace overlay which we used to bind the flowers was actually an off cut from Ella's dress making them even more unique to her.

The bridesmaid's had flowers and foliage in keeping with the theme but with a more neutral tone to it, all bound together using a lavender ribbon.

For Christopher's button hole they decided to keep it simple with single stems of Anemone, Lavender, Eucalyptus and a Snowdrop.

As always its at this point that we like to credit the photographer for the amazing pictures and as we said this was a very intimate affair it was actually Ella's dad who took them!  You can always pop over to his website for a nosey.

We hope that this blog maybe inspired you to have a winter wedding because as Ella said to me "so many are scared of winter weddings but the right venue and the right choices in clothing and flowers can make it just as beautiful as summer time"

My thanks to Ella too for providing us with so many shots of her big day and for being such a wonderful Campbell's 'ambassador'.  We're so incredibly lucky to have a really amazingly loyal following of former brides and couples, many of whom still post lovely comments on facebook and continue to support us in so many ways.  I'd just like to say a really heartfelt thank you to all of you - you know who you are - Ella is certainly one!

PS: Just adore that little faux fur shrug, what a lovely idea!

Tx
